Ramihart-H 2.5 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: High blood pressure Heart failure Blood pressure Fluid retention Liver failure Kidney failure Kidney disorder

RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET should not be given to the people allergic to RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET, have low blood pressure (less than 90 mm of Hg), have had a heart attack, diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, pregnant women, or planning to get pregnant and breastfeeding women. RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET may alter your blood sugar level, so tell your doctor about this before using RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET. Besides this, it is contraindicated in low blood pressure (hypotension), cardiogenic shock (sudden stopping of blood flow to the heart), anuria (patients with nil urine output), and aortic stenosis (heart valve problem). RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET can pass into breast milk, but its effect on the baby is not known. So, it is better to tell your doctor if you are taking RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET and breastfeeding. Do not consume alcohol with RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Avoid potassium supplements with RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET as it may lead to high potassium levels in the blood. Regular blood tests and blood pressure monitoring are recommended while taking RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET. Drink a lot of fluids as RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET can cause dehydration, so to avoid unpleasant side-effects, increase the intake of fluids. RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET can make your skin sensitive to sunlights try to cover the skin with a cloth or wear sunscreen lotion (SPF) whenever going outdoor.

Undesirable effects reported for captopril and/or ACE inhibitor include: Blood and lymphatic disorders: Very Rare: neutropenia/agranulocytosis, pancytopenia particularly in patients with renal dysfunction, anaemia (including aplastic and haemolytic), thrombocytopenia, lymphadenopathy, eosinophilia, auto-immune diseases and/or positive ANA-titres. Metabolism and nutrition disorders: Rare: Anorexia Very Rare: Hyperkalaemia, hypoglycaemia Psychiatric disorders: Common: Sleep disorders. Very Rare: Confusion, depression. Nervous system disorders: Common: Taste impairment, dizziness. Rare: Drowsiness, headache and paraesthesia. Very Rare: Cerebrovascular incidents, including stroke, and syncope. Eye disorders: Very Rare: Blurred vision. Cardiac disorders: Uncommon: Tachycardia or tachyarrhythmia, angina pectoris, palpitations. Very Rare: Cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock. Vascular disorders Uncommon: Hypotension, Raynaud syndrome, flush, pallor. Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: Common: Dry, irritating (non productive) cough and dyspnoea. Very Rare: Bronchospasm, rhinitis, allergic alveolitis / eosinophilic pneumonia. Gastrointestinal disorders: Common: Nausea, vomiting, gastric irritations, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation, dry mouth. Rare: Stomatitis/aphthous ulcerations. Very Rare: Glossitis, peptic ulcer, pancreatitis. Hepato-biliary disorders: Very Rare: Impaired hepatic function and cholestasis. (including jaundice), hepatitis including necrosis, elevated liver enzymes and bilirubin. Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Common: Pruritus with or without a rash, rash and alopecia. Uncommon: Angioedema Very Rare: Urticaria, Stevens Johnson syndrome, erythema multiforme, photosensitivity, erythroderma, pemphigoid reactions and exfoliative dermatitis. Musculoskeletal, connective tissue and bone disorders: Very rare: Myalgia, arthralgia. Renal and urinary disorders: Rare: Renal function disorders including renal failure, polyuria, oliguria, increased urine frequency. Very Rare: Nephrotic syndrome. Reproductive system and breast disorders: Very Rare: Impotence, gynaecomastia. General disorders: Uncommon: Chest pain, fatigue, malaise. Very Rare: Fever Investigations: Very Rare: Proteinuria, eosinophilia, increase of serum potassium, decrease of serum sodium, elevation of BUN, serum creatinine and serum bilirubin, decreases in haemoglobin, haematocrit, leucocytes, thrombocytes, positive ANAtitre, elevated ESR. Intestinal angioedema has also been reported very rarely in patients with ACE inhibitors and should be included in the differential diagnosis of patients on ACE inhibitors presenting with abdominal pain.

RAMIHART H 2.5MG TABLET may interact with other diuretics, blood pressure-lowering drugs (aliskiren, metoprolol, sacubitril, sacuatorvastatin), anti-epilepsy medicines (carbamazepine, phenobarbital), anti-depression medicines (lithium), immune-suppressing drugs (cyclosporine), anti-diabetic drugs (metformin) and painkillers (ibuprofen, aspirin), anti-gout drugs (allopurinol), pain killers (diclofenac, ibuprofen), potassium supplements, birth control pills (drospirenone), immune system affecting drugs (everolimus, sirolimus) etc. If you are taking any of the above, speak with your doctor.

When a dose is taken in higher dose than the recommended doses, it is called Overdose. Overdose always needs a clinical supervision. Any medicine or drug when consumed in Overdose produces untoward side effects on one or various organs in the body. A medicine is excreted in the kidney or metabolized in the liver most of the times. This process goes without any hurdles when taken in normal dose, but when taken in an overdose, the body is not able to metabolize it or send it out properly which causes the effects of anoverdose.

Before using Ramihart-H 2.5 Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below. Avoid taking hydrochlorothiazide at bedtime because it makes you urinate more often Consult your doctor if you experience dryness of mouth, thirst, weakness, lethargy, drowsiness, restlessness, confusion, muscle pains or cramps Do not chew, divide or crush the tablets Do not take this medication if you are allergic to it Drink adequate amount of liquid to avoid becoming dehydrated or overheated Swallow whole tablet with water

In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.
