Precautions:
Before you use LTK Am Tablet, discuss with your doctor if you are allergic to it or its ingredients. Your doctor may prescribe an alternative medicine and update your medical records to record this information. Tell your doctor if you are allergic any of the following substances: sulfonamide-derived drugs.
Before you use LTK Am, tell your doctor of your medical and health history including the following: swelling of the face, lips, throat, or tongue, mild to moderate liver problems, bronchial asthma, blood vessel related heart and brain diseases, sulfonamide, aspirin or penicillin allergy, kidney problems, heart attack, enlargement of the heart muscle tissue (left ventricular hypertrophy), difficulty in passing urine (anuria), diabetes, essential high blood pressure, reduce fluid volume in the body (intravascular volume depletion), heart failure, narrowing of the arteries of the kidney (bilateral kidney artery stenosis or stenosis of the artery to a solitary kidney), excessive secretion of aldosterone (primary aldosteronism), absence of lactase (galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency), abnormal absorption of glucose and galactose, abnormal quantities of protein in the urine, alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, stroke, aliskiren, potassium supplements, salt substitutes containing potassium, use of water pills (diuretics), lithium and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), low potassium, low sodium or high calcium levels, salt-restricted diet, severe vomiting and/or diarrhea, kidney transplantation, narrowing of the arteries (atherosclerosis), chest pain (angina pectoris), narrowing of the valves of the heart (aortic or mitral valve stenosis), or progressive liver disease. When losartan is used in a patient with alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, the level of losartan may increase. In patients with liver disease, minor changes of fluid and electrolyte balance may cause liver coma. In patients with asthma or with a history of allergy, allergic reactions may occur. Use of LTK Am in patients with diabetes, may cause electrolyte imbalances. Use of losartan in patients with aspirin or penicillin allergy may cause swelling of the lips and eyelids and facial rash. In patients with essential high blood pressure and narrowing of the kidney arteries, this medicine may increase the level of creatinine and urea nitrogen in the blood. Use of LTK Am in patients with heart failure and reduced fluid volume in the body (intravascular volume depletion) may cause low blood pressure. Use of LTK Am in patients with blood vessel-related heart and brain disease may decrease blood pressure which may result in heart attack or stroke. Use of LTK Am in patients with kidney problem may increase the risk of progressive azotemia (abnormally high levels of the nitrogen-containing compound) with kidney failure, electrolyte balance, decreased the production of urine, and possibly fatal. The patients with a history of sulfonamide or penicillin allergy have a risk of developing an eye disease that can cause blindness.
The use of this medicine may change bilirubin levels in the blood. Increased levels of bilirubin have been seen in patients while using this medicine.
